Here we go.

Man I so psyched to finally here something you did.

And this is beyond awesome. Its pretty, it sounds like exploration, coaxing someone through an unknown area or some shit. It's beckoning.

And you got 16 tracks to play with. 3 and a half minutes is a bit late to really change it up the first time.....

I hope you add a ton of harmonies or something to the finished product to make it more interesting. The quality is great, I just want more! Its not length its changes, we have some way longer songs.... but some more stuff changing...........

8/10
5/5 Yes it makes sense in my head.

AllByMyLonesome responds:

thanks man..and it kinda tells a story, so when it changes it makes sense to me to have it that late, and with the other tracks it's gonna sound completely differentt..so yeah..thankz

Ew...

Gross.... no musical value anywhere. Were you throwing up? Jeez, I like metal, but this is overkill.

Next time, spend some time on it. Get a different singer, turn him up. Use better drum samples, don't place the drum beats so close together, it sounds REALLY bad.

Well, all songs are just riffs.

Similarity and transitions are what make it flow, and since you have that, you are good. I agree with Jonus down there, much more, reverb, hall and/or delay would've been good. However inside the riffs themselves. Not too much flowing, some of them seemed choppy. I can't tell if I like that or not. Really my 9 is just because I find the clean parts odd without that hall. Also, it's not like its the greatest song ever. But I do like it! Good job.

Jakisdead responds:

Thanks for the review, and I'm glad you liked it on the whole!
I shall do something about that reverb because it's bothering me now too!
Aha I agree that it is not the greatest of songs. I'm happy enough with my sound to begin writing an album now but I'm really lost for direction, which is why my stuff is so experimental right now.

Thanks for the review!

Cool, stuff...

it slowly escaltates, and thats all good, I hate the audio portal now, how people are voting so low on stuff for no reason.

Well, it could have been a bit more interesting at the first section.... before the 3:00 mark. But it was fine. The rest was epic in a calm way, I sure hope this gets used!

HarvestThrone responds:

Thank you! Same here -_- lol. Anyway, yeah my focus was to make it so that it wouldn't distract the audience from the film, but if the director wants more in it then I'll change it. Thanks again!

Hmmmmmm

What exactly were you trying to accomplish? Sounds kinda cool, but I'd turn down the phazer or loose it completely...... Some more riffs, drums, bass, this could be awesome.

fizzypop2 responds:

Yeah the phaser annoyed me. We're actually using this riff in a heavy song we're working on. We're currently screwing around with recording techniques and levels. Once we figure the stuff out and upload some more then I'll message you letting you know.

Hmmm

The 3 is merely for this song post. This quaality, and the left ear thing......
I suggest getting an 8-track for recording, you get quality like I've got and stereo sound..... and its only a couple hundred. Which I assume you can save up for because you are musicians. Sounds like you guitar needs a tune. You drummer's good though, points for him. As far as this actual song goes I'd say...... 6/10. Mostly for how out of tune you are, and mistakes = a do over, not an explanation and apology on the internet. okay? Just some tips for a fellow musician in need. Hope you learn from this review. :)

Nice man!

I agree with the last guy though some more 'movements' like the one at midway, would have been really cool, also, sometimes, just taking the time to run a second lead track can make all the difference in variety! Just a tip! Time to see ur other stuff!

durn responds:

ya, I layered a copy of the lead synth in the last section using a rising stab pattern, suppose I shoulda tried more with that idea earlier throughout the song coupled with a different melody. :) bit of artist's arrogance on that one. I just like the way the melody's harmonic with both bass riffs, don't think I'll change it. :d

thanks for the review, man :)
